Discovered by Sir William Cameron in 1885, the outpost at elevations ranging from 1,100 metres (3,600 ft) to 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above sea level has a mean annual temperature of about 18 deg C. During the day, the temperature seldom rises above 25 deg C; at night, it rarely drops to as low as 9 deg C at the higher reaches. Very nice to visit during the February heat in Penang. |
